The Department of Classical and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations provides a Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Studies, an in-depth curriculum covering Arabic literature, cultural studies, and translation. This four-year program generally requires 26 credits at GW plus 10 credits completed overseas.
Our diverse faculty instructs numerous courses each term, such as Historical Arabic Literature, Arabic-English Translation Techniques, Arab Cinema and Cultural Studies in English, and Professional Arabic Communication.
