Exceptional Mason undergraduates can enroll in the combined bachelor's/accelerated master's program, earning both a BA/BS in their selected field and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MAIS) with a social justice and human rights specialization in an accelerated format after successfully completing at least 144 credits. The Social Justice and Human Rights (SJHR) specialization within the MAIS program offers flexible curriculum options, enabling students to concentrate on their areas of greatest interest. This program establishes a strong theoretical framework for analyzing the social, political, cultural, historical, and economic dimensions of various social justice and human rights challenges. Taking a global and intersectional perspective, it encourages students to develop and implement solutions for building a fairer, more just, and compassionate society.
