Anthropology, which translates to "the study of humanity," bridges the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities while exploring fundamental aspects of human existence. This discipline examines how diverse cultures across time and space have engaged with their surroundings, established communication systems, structured societies, interpreted reality, and addressed conflicts. Our program emphasizes cultural sensitivity in today's interconnected world and confronts colonial legacies in academic and broader contexts. We emphasize hands-on learning through faculty-led archaeological digs and ethnographic studies conducted both locally and abroad. Our comprehensive curriculum covers all anthropological subfields, including archaeology, biological/medical anthropology, forensic anthropology, cultural anthropology, linguistics, religious studies, racial/ethnic constructs, and fostering intercultural understanding.
