The Master of Science in Information program equips students with a comprehensive grounding in key disciplines including library science fundamentals, information systems design, user services, youth services, and personalized academic pathways. Learners will acquire the theoretical framework required to develop the competencies essential for success in information-related careers. Participants will master core professional concepts to critically assess their present responsibilities and shape the future of information disciplines, learn fundamental methodologies for information work, and cultivate adaptability to evolving societal needs and technological advancements in information services. This Master of Science program offers fully online completion options.
Entrance exam can be waived for master’s and specialist applicants who meet ONE of the following criteria:
A completed Master’s, JD, MD, or PhD degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher from a regionally accredited institution;
Two years of professional experience working in the information or information technology field and a 3.0 or higher upper‚Äêdivision undergraduate GPA from a regionally accredited institution; or
FSU undergraduate students with an upper‚Äêdivision information technology GPA of 3.2 or higher and an overall GPA of 3.4 or higher.
