The department provides Master of Science (MS), Master of Engineering (MEng), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs with specializations in structural, geotechnical, transportation, construction, water resources, and environmental engineering. Key focus areas in civil engineering encompass bridge design and management systems, cement-based materials, construction project oversight, wind engineering, geo-environmental studies and pavement systems, transportation networks with multimodal approaches, disaster preparedness, computer-assisted design and decision support tools, along with combining physical and computational models of civil infrastructure. For water resources, the program emphasizes hydraulic systems, hydrological processes, fluid dynamics, subsurface water studies, and modeling of river basins and coastal regions. Environmental engineering concentrations cover water purification, potable water and sewage treatment, contamination cleanup, toxic waste handling, environmental systems evaluation, and sustainable ecological practices.
