The Master of Science in Art Education program offers pathways both with and without teacher certification, delivering extensive expertise in structured educational frameworks. Participants in this track join cohorts already advancing through the 5-year dual degree curriculum. For those pursuing certification, program requirements are tailored to qualify graduates for K-12 art certification in Florida. Our Art Education Department champions art's transformative power in driving societal progress. The program prepares alumni for diverse educational settings, from traditional classrooms to alternative learning spaces. By exploring visual and cultural literacy through research, we cultivate future leaders in the discipline. Art not only fosters personal growth but also enhances our global community. As an advanced academic and research initiative, we exclusively provide graduate-level degrees and specialized tracks. This approach ensures an intensive, personalized educational journey as students pursue one of our four distinct degree options or direct-entry pathways within the Art Education curriculum.

Qualification Requirements
An earned bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited US institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework.
The applicant must be in good standing in the institution of higher education
All applicants should have an undergraduate major related to art, art education, arts administration or have thirty credited hours of art and/or art history course work.
Deficiencies may be made up after acceptance into the program.
Earn a minimum percentile ranking of 55% on the Verbal and 25% on the Quantitative portions of the GRE.
The GRE waiver may be requested for students that have achieved a 3.0 GPA during their undergraduate studies
