The French Division provides Master's and Doctoral programs covering diverse areas of French and Francophone studies, from literature to cultural analysis and modern societal issues. Our faculty dedicates itself to equipping graduate students with robust scholarly foundations, exposure to emerging field developments, and comprehensive teacher training. These programs additionally facilitate cross-disciplinary exploration. As part of the Modern Languages Department, we maintain strong collaborations with sister divisions like Chinese, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish-Portuguese. Furthermore, we actively partner with various university departments and interdisciplinary initiatives, including Humanities, Women's Studies, Asian Studies, and Afro-Caribbean Studies, among others.
