Nationally recognized among the top 25 Educational Psychology degree programs, our Learning and Cognition curriculum provides students and professionals with in-depth knowledge of cognitive processes, learning principles, and developmental frameworks. Learners from diverse backgrounds join our program to implement Learning and Cognition concepts across research, educational, governmental, and corporate environments. With an Educational Psychology foundation, graduates gain expertise in creating and assessing learning environments, analyzing research on educational interventions, and (for thesis and doctoral candidates) performing original research.
Note that an Educational Psychology degree doesn't qualify graduates for teaching, school counseling, or school psychology licensure. While sometimes mistaken for School Counseling or School Psychology, these are distinct professional programs within our Department of Educational Psychology & Learning Systems that do lead to licensure. Those interested in mental health services or psychological assessments should explore our School Counseling and School Psychology offerings.
