Florida State University's College of Business provides exceptional undergraduate students with opportunities to fast-track their education through combined degree programs. These innovative pathways enable ambitious learners to apply certain graduate-level courses toward both their bachelor's and master's requirements, potentially reducing both time and tuition costs.
The Risk Management/Insurance program, part of FSU's esteemed Department of Risk Management/Insurance, Real Estate and Legal Studies, maintains its position among the country's premier academic offerings. This comprehensive curriculum equips students with expertise across multiple insurance sectors, including risk assessment, life/health insurance operations, property/casualty coverage, financial strategy development, and benefits administration.

Graduates consistently achieve outstanding employment outcomes. Beyond the university's standard career services, the department organizes Insurance Days - a specialized two-day recruitment event connecting RMI students with internship and career opportunities. The accelerated professional development initiatives offered through our department give graduates a significant edge in the competitive job market.

Qualification Requirements

An applicant who desires admission as a first year in college student must be graduated from a regionally accredited high school (or comparable international institution). All transcripts/academic records that are not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations. If the transcript/academic record does not indicate the degree earned and date the degree was awarded, separate proof of degree is required. We require freshman applicants to submit at least one ACT and/or SAT test score to be considered for admission. Florida State does not require the optional ACT writing score or the optional SAT essay. We encourage applicants to take both the ACT and SAT, and to attempt each exam more than one time to earn the highest possible score.
