FSU's Acting Program is a highly selective initiative crafted to equip exceptionally gifted students for careers in professional theater. Alongside essential theater coursework, this thorough program features specialized training in acting, vocal techniques, movement, and focused workshops. Participants are strongly advised to join our London Theatre Experience in their junior year's fall semester.

Aspiring actors audition for diverse performance opportunities across the Fallon, Lab, and Studio Theatres. This combination of academic training and practical stage experience equips graduates to handle the challenges of a rigorous professional theater career.
Florida State University's School of Theatre maintains its reputation as one of America's top-tier theater programs. Graduates have established successful careers across theater and related industries throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Undergraduates can choose from three degree paths and numerous opportunities to investigate various theater disciplines. Our production schedule includes faculty-directed, student-led, and guest artist projects, offering both performance and technical roles while performing to capacity audiences. Students learn and showcase their talents in professional-grade facilities featuring two proscenium theaters, two adaptable black-box spaces, plus dedicated studios, workshops, and classrooms.

Annually, numerous students participate in our acclaimed London Theatre program. FSU boasts what may be the finest London Study Center among American universities. Theater students collaborate with top British instructors and artists alongside Tallahassee faculty, enjoying weekly (sometimes daily) theater attendance and international travel during breaks. The London theater study experience is truly unparalleled.
