The Linguistics Program provides a certification recognizing a student's proficiency in linguistics-related coursework. This credential caters to individuals with a broad interest in linguistic studies, as well as those pursuing career development where linguistic knowledge would be beneficial.
The certificate is available to both undergraduate and graduate students. To obtain a Certificate in Linguistic Studies, students must complete at least six linguistics or linguistics-related courses, amounting to eighteen credit hours.

Qualification Requirements
For all applicants we require official transcripts from all previously attended institutions. Transcripts to be considered official must come in a sealed envelope directly from the issuing institution.
A minimum 3.00 grade point average (GPA) in a completed undergraduate degree program
International graduate student applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit a score for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A total score of 80 on the IBT TOEFL or 6.5 overall on the IELTS is required.
