The Department of Modern Languages at Florida International University provides undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in Spanish. We are dedicated to teaching our students about language, literature, linguistics, and the cultures of Latin America and Spain. To achieve this, our Spanish curriculum includes beginner and advanced classes covering language skills, linguistic studies, literary analysis, translation and interpretation, film studies, and cultural exploration. Since 1992, our summer program in Spain has given students the chance to immerse themselves in Spanish language and culture by staying with local families. Our distinguished faculty members, recruited from top universities nationwide, bring diverse academic expertise and extensive teaching experience, creating an exceptional environment for Spanish studies.
