Florida Tech's master's program in aerospace engineering focuses on three key disciplines: aerodynamics and fluid dynamics, aerospace structures and materials, and combustion and propulsion. Situated near Kennedy Space Center along Florida's Space Coast, the university was established in 1958 to support space initiatives and has since provided students with extensive aerospace and aeronautics training.

This graduate program equips students for demanding professional roles or advanced doctoral studies by emphasizing specialized knowledge, analytical skills, and scientific research that extends beyond typical undergraduate engineering curricula.

Numerous Florida Tech master's alumni pursue doctoral degrees at the university or other top institutions, while others secure positions in design, development, field service, software engineering, and research at prominent aerospace companies.

Aerospace engineering careers frequently involve national defense work requiring U.S. security clearances, keeping these positions domestic. Growing environmental regulations regarding noise reduction and fuel efficiency, coupled with expanding private sector space exploration initiatives, are creating increasing demand for qualified aerospace engineers.
