Aerospace engineering focuses on designing and analyzing aircraft and spacecraft, covering specialized areas like aerodynamics, structural design, control systems, and propulsion. Those pursuing an aerospace engineering degree at Florida Tech join a distinguished program frequently recognized for excellence, within a top-ranked national university.

Whether your ambition is to craft aircraft, innovate propulsion technologies, or contribute to space exploration missions, Florida Tech's aerospace engineering program provides the ideal foundation. Students gain comprehensive engineering knowledge and practical experience in disciplines such as aerodynamics and fluid dynamics.

Florida Tech's Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering starts with foundational courses in engineering and physics with calculus. Unlike many institutions that delay aircraft design until upper-level studies, Florida Tech introduces this subject in the first year. The curriculum includes hands-on training in machining, computer-aided modeling, analysis of aerospace components, and the opportunity to design, assemble, and evaluate model aircraft or rockets.

During their final year, students collaborate on a capstone design project, working in teams to develop, engineer, and showcase an aerospace solution addressing practical challenges. This project is presented to industry professionals and prospective employers, demonstrating real-world applicability.
