The College of Agriculture and Food Sciences provides a MASTER OF SCIENCE DEGREE (available with both thesis and non-thesis tracks) in Agricultural Sciences, featuring specializations in Agribusiness, Entomology, Plant Science, and Soil and Water Science. Earning this Master's degree requires completing at least thirty-six (36) credit hours beyond undergraduate studies, typically spanning two years. The program's design allows students to broaden their understanding across various agricultural disciplines rather than focusing narrowly on one subject. Nevertheless, student research projects are highly focused, guided by faculty experts in their respective fields. Participants engage with diverse agricultural research challenges and solutions through classroom learning, practical experiences with faculty, and external internships at partner institutions or companies. Each student receives personalized guidance from a Thesis Supervisory Committee, which assists with course selection, elective choices, internship opportunities, and evaluates progress through regular assessments and a final oral defense. This program equips graduates with advanced skills to tackle evolving global demands in agriculture.
