Our Social Science Education program equips future teachers to instruct history, political science, and social studies for grades 6-12. The curriculum provides two specialization options: 1) History Education and 2) Political Science Education. This comprehensive program combines social science and humanities coursework with pedagogical training. The culminating experience is a student teaching internship in the final semester.
Social Science Education majors will gain expertise in key areas including: African civilization roots, the evolution of American education from early childhood through college, educational philosophies, and additional critical subjects.
