Students can choose from three specialized paths: 1) Physics Education, 2) Chemistry Education, or 3) Biology Education. This discipline focuses on employing observation, experimentation, and analytical methods to explore and teach about the natural and physical world.
Beyond their selected specialization (biology, chemistry, or physics), Science Education majors will gain expertise in these key areas:
Psychological principles covering behavior, learning processes, motivation, personality development, and evaluation methods, The evolution of the U.S. education system across all levels, Diversity training for educators to work effectively in varied cultural and ethnic settings, Educational philosophies, Effective communication skills, and additional relevant topics.
