This combined degree program enables students to pursue a Master of Public Health while simultaneously completing training through Emory University's Physician Assistant (PA) Program in the School of Medicine. Housed within the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, the PA program attracts, trains, and guides diverse students toward becoming skilled healthcare providers.
Admission requires separate applications and acceptances to both the PA and MPH programs. Applicants must select a specific Rollins department for their MPH studies. The program involves one full year (fall, spring, summer) at Rollins, completing 32 credit hours that encompass core MPH requirements, departmental coursework, and typically a thesis project. Additionally, students undertake an applied practice experience - a supervised fieldwork component focused on public health.
Students begin with their Rollins coursework during their initial year at Emory before transitioning to fulfill the PA program requirements in the School of Medicine.
All post-secondary education will include a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, as well as post-baccalaureate degrees and other coursework not undertaken for a degree.
If you are an international applicant, you may need to submit TOEFL scores.
