The Psychology Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Program is housed within the Laney Graduate School. We do not provide a standalone master's degree. Applications are accepted online starting in early September, with a deadline of December 1st annually. Admission to the Psychology Graduate Program occurs exclusively for the fall term.

Our PhD Program offers four specialization areas: behavioral and systems neuroscience, clinical science, cognitive and computational sciences, and developmental science. Both faculty and students typically align with one or sometimes two of these concentrations. The Clinical Science (CS) concentration holds accreditation as a doctoral program in clinical psychology.

We aim to cultivate graduate students into exceptional researchers, scientists, and scholars who advance understanding of psychology's fundamental and enduring questions.
