Anthropology is inherently interdisciplinary, attracting collaboration from various fields for the exchange of innovative concepts. Emory's Anthropology graduate program emphasizes both cultural and biological anthropology, with a strong focus on fostering interactions among individuals, perspectives, and theories. The curriculum combines structured coursework with personalized mentorship in advanced topics, creating a challenging yet rewarding experience for students and instructors alike.
Our program supports a wide array of doctoral research topics spanning cultural and biological anthropology. We maintain that future anthropologists thrive not by adhering to a single theoretical framework, but by engaging with diverse analytical approaches.
