Your clinical education starts immediately, with rotations launching in the middle of your second year. This provides crucial practical experience across multiple specialties, allowing you to train in 14 different medical fields across both hospital and clinic environments before residency applications. You'll collaborate with a tight-knit group across private practices, academic institutions, and research hospitals, observing diverse medical approaches. You'll encounter cutting-edge therapies and uncommon diagnoses while serving varied patient populations from Atlanta and beyond, including those who journey specifically for our specialized care.
Additionally, you'll join a pioneering biomedical research institution with all its associated networks and assets. A five-month independent research period lets you investigate clinical or fundamental science topics, undertake global research initiatives, or blend personal passions like healthcare policy, medical education, or community health projects.
All applicants must plan to complete a four-year undergraduate college degree program.
