Environmental scientists tackle some of the planet's most urgent challenges. As guardians of natural resources, they safeguard water supplies, mitigate pollution, remediate hazardous waste, provide guidance on land management, and participate in shaping environmental regulations.
At Emory, students explore both ecological systems and societal aspects of environmental concerns. Our cross-disciplinary approach combines academic learning with hands-on experience through fieldwork, internships, research projects, and international study opportunities.
The ENVS Bachelor of Science program offers specialized tracks that maintain core environmental science fundamentals while enabling students to develop expertise for advanced studies, specific professions, or data-driven careers. While sharing foundational requirements with the BA degree, the BS provides more focused departmental electives for each concentration, supplemented by external courses that strengthen relevant foundational knowledge.
