The Advanced Standing MSW Program caters to students who obtained a BSW or BASW from a CSWE-accredited undergraduate social work program within the past seven years. This program offers both full-time and part-time study options. In the foundation year's generalist practice curriculum, students acquire core values, knowledge, and competencies essential for research-based social work, covering engagement, assessment, intervention, and evaluation across various practice levels – from individuals to communities. Emphasis is placed on equity, diversity, and championing human rights alongside social, environmental, and economic justice. Field placements commence during this foundational year. The advanced generalist practice curriculum in the final year focuses on applying person-in-environment concepts through field experience and specialized coursework in clinical assessment, evidence-based interventions, research methodologies, policy analysis, program design, and management. The program prioritizes cultivating leadership abilities to address human rights violations, poverty reduction, and improving life quality for all, while consistently promoting social, economic, and environmental justice throughout professional practice.
