The Career & Technical Education (CTE) Certificate program equips you to instruct CTE courses in Washington State high schools. This certification allows industry professionals to transition into teaching careers. CTE educators may originate from diverse fields involving specialized expertise, applied sciences, technical skills, and vocational training. The program offers three certification pathways: EWU fosters a cooperative educational setting for immersive learning opportunities with adaptable scheduling for teacher candidates. The School of Education commits to developing future educators who will serve as student-focused teachers in our regional communities. Our program helps teacher candidates evolve as skilled professionals, leaders, academics, and practitioners while thoughtfully considering classroom and societal diversity. We empower individuals to leverage their distinct backgrounds and experiences to positively influence their future students' lives and education.
You must show that you graduated from high school or secondary school with the equivalent of a "C" grade (2.0) or higher.
You must provide original, official transcripts for all high school, college, and university coursework from both inside and outside of the U.S.
