The middle school teaching program equips you for Illinois' Professional Educator License in Elementary Education, enabling you to instruct students in grades five through eight. This program also incorporates an ESL endorsement, authorizing you to teach English Language Learners.
Your first year includes classroom field work, followed by more extensive field experiences during sophomore and junior years. These progressively prepare you for your culminating student teaching experience in senior year. Throughout this journey, Bradley professors and supervising teachers provide essential guidance.
Notably, Bradley pioneered integrating ESL endorsements into early childhood, elementary, middle school, and special education programs across Illinois. This unique feature increases your marketability as English Language Learners represent Illinois' most rapidly expanding student population.
