The Master of Science in Psychology - General Clinical program is grounded in a theoretical perspective that views human functioning as fundamentally shaped by internal and interpersonal dynamics unfolding across developmental stages. The curriculum integrates coursework, clinical experience, and research training within an evidence-based approach where scientific inquiry and clinical application continuously reinforce each other. This graduate program pursues two primary objectives. First, it equips students with contemporary, professionally recognized techniques for psychological evaluation and therapeutic intervention, drawing from diverse personality and psychopathology theories. Graduates will meet Michigan's requirements for master's-level licensure and clinical practice. Second, the program develops students' competencies in creating and interpreting clinical research studies.
