The Master of Science in Nursing curriculum equips nurses to address the growing demand for highly skilled healthcare professionals. This program trains graduates for diverse advanced practice nursing positions, including clinical nurse specialists, nurse practitioners, educators, researchers, and healthcare administrators. It fulfills the prerequisites for national certification exams and provides a foundation for pursuing doctoral degrees. The Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) track focuses on developing expertise across the CNS's three core domains (patient care, nursing practice, and healthcare systems), preparing students to treat patients from young adulthood through senior years in both hospital and community environments. Upon completion, graduates qualify to take national certification tests and apply for state CNS licensure.
