The Interpretation and Performance Studies program focuses on the artistic and academic exploration of performance. We view performance—whether rooted in cultural traditions, artistic expression, or daily experiences—as fundamental to comprehending human behavior and social dynamics. Our goal is to offer courses and extracurricular opportunities that immerse students in a thorough, engaging, and diverse journey of practical and theoretical investigations into performers, performances, texts, and their environments. This specialization caters to those studying I/PS through a communication lens, embracing both conventional artistic forms and unconventional performance expressions.
