A Bachelor of Arts in Bilingual Education prepares future educators for rewarding careers in language instruction. This program enables you to teach English to non-native speakers or share another language with students in Michigan or internationally. Ideal for those passionate about working with youth, embracing diverse cultures, and enhancing their world language skills, this degree positions graduates as sought-after bilingual educators. You'll master designing dynamic, developmentally appropriate lessons for K-12 students through hands-on experiences like peer teaching, working with special needs students, and classroom instruction during student teaching. Beyond the strong need for certified bilingual teachers locally, nationally, and globally, this certification serves as a springboard for advanced degrees in counseling, educational leadership, or administration. Graduates can immediately begin teaching or explore diverse career paths in sectors including business, government, arts, tourism, and more.
