The Nature-Based Therapy graduate certificate equips students with core competencies essential for nature-based healing environments. This program explores diverse therapeutic approaches rooted in nature through critical analysis. Participants gain thorough training for designing nature-based interventions and incorporating these methods into conventional treatment frameworks. The curriculum also cultivates abilities for personal and collective wellbeing, covering practical aspects like program coordination, execution, oversight, and safety protocols. Key study areas encompass ecopsychology principles, ecotherapy techniques, Leave No Trace ethics, environmental conservation methods, prevalent US nature program frameworks, cross-cultural considerations in nature therapy, and outdoor behavioral health practices.
Students must have the minimum equivalent of a four-year bachelor’s degree with at least a “B” average based on the home country’s grading scale.

English language proficiency requirements: TOEFL score 550 (PBT), 79 (iBT), IELTS score of 6.5, PTE score of 53.
