The Arts Administration and Museum Leadership program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for leadership roles in creative institutions, museums, foundations, corporate entities, and government bodies within the cultural sector. Those passionate about managing arts and cultural organizations, including diverse museum settings, will discover a curriculum offering comprehensive insights into the field's history and contemporary developments, alongside specialized study options.
Degree candidates select either an Arts Administration or Museum Leadership focus to fulfill their program requirements. All AAML participants complete introductory courses tailored to their chosen track, seven shared core courses, followed by a thesis component for Arts Administration students or a practicum experience for Museum Leadership candidates.
The program accommodates both full-time and part-time enrollment, with evening and online course options designed for working professionals. While students must enroll in either the on-campus or online program, they have flexibility to take select courses across both formats.
New students begin during fall or spring semesters. Full-time participants can finish the degree in five consecutive terms when starting in fall, while part-time students typically complete the program in seven to eight terms.
