Faculty members employ various model systems and experimental methods to uncover the root causes of diseases and create innovative treatment approaches. Researchers study neurodegenerative conditions and protein aggregation disorders including Alzheimer's and ALS, developmental conditions like Fragile X syndrome, autism, CHARGE syndrome and Pitt-Hopkins, various cancers, spinal cord injuries, and autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
