The MCEB program explores how intricate biological systems arise from life's fundamental building blocks: molecules, cells, and genes. Key disciplines within MCEB include molecular and cellular biology, developmental biology, genetics (both Mendelian and quantitative), evolutionary biology, biodiversity studies, biochemistry, neurobiology, and microbiology.
