The program includes seventeen tenure-track faculty members across seven research teams focusing on: artificial intelligence, computer graphics, CS education, computer vision, HCI, cybersecurity, networking, scientific computing, and software engineering. These teams actively engage both undergraduate and graduate students in their research initiatives. The College strives to cultivate a research environment that promotes excellence, especially in tackling complex, interdisciplinary challenges involving computer science. Students also have research opportunities in cross-departmental fields with CS faculty involvement, such as bioinformatics, power engineering, online math education, and computer-aided design/manufacturing.
The College's research facilities feature state-of-the-art computer systems and specialized equipment. This research ecosystem is supported by dedicated IT staff and high-speed connections to both Internet and Internet2 networks.
