Drexel's Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science program is housed within the Department of Biodiversity, Earth and Environmental Science (BEES). This major leverages Drexel's distinctive collaboration with the Academy of Natural Sciences, the nation's first natural history museum. Department students collaborate with distinguished professors, acquiring practical skills that equip them for professional roles or advanced studies in environmental science and similar disciplines.
The environmental science program enables students to focus on a specialized area while developing comprehensive foundational knowledge through core curriculum. Available concentrations include:
Biodiversity and Evolution
Ecology and Conservation
Environmental Science
The initial two specializations - Biodiversity and Evolution plus Ecology and Conservation - reflect the joint research strengths of Drexel and the Academy. The Environmental Science track offers a more flexible option for students exploring career paths who desire wider-ranging education in environmental sciences.
