The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program equips educators to address the needs of diverse students in modern classrooms. Participants engage in hands-on, practical coursework across urban and suburban educational settings. Our faculty mentors guide aspiring teachers in developing professional connections to smoothly enter the teaching profession.
Drew's MAT program results in both a graduate degree and certification for elementary or secondary education. We train secondary educators in subjects including English, mathematics, sciences, social studies, foreign languages, and arts. The program can be finished in one intensive year or spread across two years. Those pursuing elementary (K-6) certification may also qualify for middle school teaching credentials.
