DePaul's Psychological Science MA/PhD program stands out as an exceptionally selective program that educates students in the fundamental theories and methods shaping psychology's core disciplines: social, developmental, cognitive, and neuroscience. Focusing on analytical and integrative approaches, our students gain deep insights into the psychological basis of human cognition, emotions, drives, and actions while pursuing groundbreaking research across psychology's diverse fields. Participants will cultivate research and analytical abilities both in lab settings and through practical applications, creating evidence-based solutions for real-world challenges. This program equips graduates for professional paths in scientific, academic, corporate, and practical domains. Hands-on research forms a crucial component of the curriculum, starting in year one with faculty mentorship. In their initial two years, students design and execute research for their master's thesis, followed by developing an extensive research initiative in their third year to lay the groundwork for their dissertation. Dissertation research typically commences in the fourth year. Students receive financial support through competitive stipends and additional funding options.
