The Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) PhD program provides outstanding students with the chance to conduct extensive research in computing fields and related disciplines. To obtain a PhD, candidates must show comprehensive understanding across two research domains while achieving profound expertise in their selected dissertation topic. Furthermore, students must develop, compose, and successfully defend an original doctoral dissertation that makes a meaningful contribution to scholarly research, evidenced through a public defense and publications in reputable peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree and Master's degree awarded from a regionally accredited institution. The master's degree must be in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Test of English Proficiency for international students. We require at least a 92 on the internet-based TOEFL, a 580 on the paper-based TOEFL or a 6.5 on the IELTS.
