The Intelligent Systems Engineering (ISE) curriculum teaches students to develop engineering systems that merge physical processes, computation, and artificial intelligence. They will explore how interconnected smart devices manage power grids, critical infrastructure, home utilities, robots, self-driving vehicles, environmental monitoring networks, traffic systems, smart toys, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. As everyday objects increasingly incorporate intelligence, ISE graduates enjoy excellent career opportunities across diverse fields.
While conventional engineering degrees focus on a single discipline, CDM's ISE program takes an interdisciplinary approach, integrating key elements from computer science, computer engineering, and general engineering. This enables students to participate in the full development cycle of contemporary engineering systems while gaining expertise in mechanical design, manufacturing, electronic circuits, software creation, networking, and cybersecurity.
