The dual degree equips environmental science/studies students with in-depth understanding of business operations and methodologies, emphasizing ecological sustainability, to develop future leaders for corporate, public, and community sectors. For complete details about the Master of Science in Sustainable Management program structure, refer to the MSSM degree specifications in the graduate studies portion of the University Catalog. Upon admission to the combined program, undergraduates will complete three graduate-level courses during their final year. These 12 quarter-hour graduate courses will fulfill requirements for both the bachelor's degree (as outlined below) and the master's program. Candidates must formally request degree completion to graduate with either a BA in Environmental Studies or BS in Environmental Science before advancing to the MSSM program. A maximum of three graduate courses (12 quarter hours) may be applied toward both degrees. Please be aware that graduate-level coursework generally demands higher academic standards than undergraduate studies. Participants may select from the following foundational MSSM courses, with alternative options possible through discussion with the MSSM program advisor.
