While overseen by the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, a cross-disciplinary advisory board guides curriculum updates and program enhancements. Graduates are well-positioned for careers in both private and public sectors, with strong qualifications for advanced studies across multiple disciplines. Degree completion involves fulfilling all university mandates, including: General Education coursework, Viewing a Wider World requirements, and sufficient electives to reach at least 120 total credits (with 48 credits at the 300-level or higher). Remedial classes don't count toward degree requirements or electives, though they may be necessary prerequisites for core English and Mathematics courses.
