DePaul's bassoon studio offers students a distinctive chance to study under three leading bassoonists collaborating together. Our faculty members have trained with renowned bassoon educators across the U.S., such as Arthur Weisberg, Norman Herzberg, Ben Kamins, George Sakakeeny, Kristin Wolfe Jensen, Daniel Matsukawa, and Dr. Eric Stomberg, and we pass this accumulated expertise to each student. Beyond weekly studio sessions, we regularly conduct reed-making workshops, practice auditions, and supplementary instruction. Private lesson schedules are adaptable and arranged in consultation with faculty. Chicago provides daily access to premier orchestras and arts institutions.
