The Quantitative Social Science Program aims to equip students with advanced methods for investigating real-world empirical questions. As outlined, QSS provides options for both a minor and major concentration. These academic tracks focus on computational and quantitative approaches, with QSS instructors guiding students in applying these methods to social science data analysis. The QSS major is designed for those seeking to master quantitative skills while focusing on a specific social science discipline. This program establishes core competencies in mathematics, modeling, programming, and statistics, then expands through practical social science courses. Students complete their studies with either a senior honors thesis during their final year or an intensive, faculty-mentored research project spanning one academic term.
Students must have high school equivalent to USA. A strong GPA in high school is one indicator that you will continue to do well in college.
