The Geography Major requires ten courses divided into five categories: introductory, methods, breadth, depth, and capstone. Introductory courses offer a broad introduction to geography, establishing core concepts. Methods courses teach both qualitative and quantitative spatial analysis techniques for studying human-environment interactions. Breadth courses showcase geography's interdisciplinary nature. Depth courses enable focused study in specialized areas. The capstone experience integrates geographical knowledge through intensive seminar discussions of contemporary literature. Additionally, the Geography Department provides a Geography Minor, Modified Geography Major, Major Modification with Geography, Urban Studies Minor, and Climate Change Science Minor.
Students must have high school equivalent to USA. A strong GPA in high school is one indicator that you will continue to do well in college.
Most successful applicants score above 100 on the TOEFL exam or above 7 on IELTS.
