We provide four distinct major pathways (outlined below), including a modified major option, with considerable flexibility in program design. Many of our chemistry tracks don't necessitate taking two major courses simultaneously. Our department features four specialized programs: Plan A delivers comprehensive chemical training, while Plan B caters to students with interdisciplinary scientific interests. We also offer biophysical chemistry for those applying physical chemistry to biological systems, biological chemistry focusing on biochemical processes, and a modified major combining chemistry with another discipline. The biophysical chemistry program particularly suits premed students and those pursuing graduate studies in structural biology or spectroscopy for protein research.
