The Chemistry Department is thrilled you're drawn to the stimulating challenges of our discipline and eagerly anticipates assisting you in crafting a customized major plan. We provide four distinct major pathways (outlined below), along with a modified major option, offering significant flexibility in academic planning. Many of our chemistry tracks allow students to avoid taking two major courses simultaneously. Our department features four specialized programs: Plan A delivers comprehensive chemistry training for those seeking depth in the field, while Plan B caters to students with interdisciplinary scientific interests. We also offer a biophysical chemistry major for those applying physical chemistry principles to biological systems, and a biological chemistry major focused on chemical processes in living organisms. The modified major parallels Plan B while incorporating coursework from another department. Specifically, the biological chemistry major prepares students for graduate studies in biochemistry and biomedical fields, while also serving premedical students exceptionally well.
Students must have high school equivalent to USA. A strong GPA in high school is one indicator that you will continue to do well in college.
Most successful applicants score above 100 on the TOEFL exam or above 7 on IELTS.
