The Operations, Technology, and Information Management (OTIM) program focuses on analytical approaches rooted in data, behavior, and mathematics to solve critical management challenges. Johnson's OTIM faculty possess extensive knowledge across diverse fields including global logistics, retail systems, digital platforms, healthcare services, online commerce, environmental sustainability, hospitality management, and IT infrastructure, along with experience in applied, cross-disciplinary research featured in leading academic publications. PhD candidates gain methodological skills through OTIM faculty-led courses while also leveraging Cornell's academic strengths by enrolling in graduate-level classes from Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE), Computing and Information Sciences (CIS), Economics, and other relevant departments aligned with their research focus. The program also encourages coursework in business specialties like financial markets, quantitative finance, and buyer psychology, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration that builds analytical depth, broadens perspectives, and connects students with Cornell's extensive research community.
