The Cornell University Biomedical and Biological Sciences (BBS) Graduate Program brings together exceptional students working on cutting-edge research across fundamental, clinical, and applied life sciences alongside distinguished faculty and research experts. Based in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell's Ithaca campus, the program benefits from top-tier research infrastructure, the dynamic university environment, and close connections with Weill Cornell Medicine in NYC. The BBS Program cultivates a supportive, student-focused academic community dedicated to helping graduate scholars excel in research, education, and career growth. Participants choose faculty advisors from five specialized tracks: Immunology & Infectious Disease, Molecular & Cellular Medicine, Population Medicine & Epidemiology, Translational Medicine, and Zoology & Wildlife Conservation.
Research spans from molecular-level studies of protein structures and cellular membranes to investigations of complete organ systems and living organisms.
