The Bachelor of Science in Information Science (IS) enables students to explore how digital information is designed, structured, managed, utilized, and examined. This program, offered through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), provides a comprehensive study of information systems within societal frameworks. Information Science investigates the development, representation, management, implementation, and evaluation of digital data. The discipline emphasizes technological systems and their applications, employing diverse interdisciplinary methods. Additionally, the department provides a distinct Bachelor of Science in Information Science, Systems, and Technology (ISST) for Engineering students (BS-ISST), which varies significantly from the Information Science programs in A&S and CALS.
Students completing their high school during the 2021-22 academic year or if they've graduated from high school but have earned fewer than 12 credits at a college or university are eligible for admission as first year students.
TOEFL - Score of 100 and above (Internet-based exam); 70 and above on the PTE Academic; IELTS - Score of 7.5.
