The Health Care Policy program offers an interdisciplinary approach, enabling you to explore healthcare through behavioral, cultural, policy, and social lenses. As a Health Care Policy major, you'll utilize economic, sociological, and demographic frameworks to analyze how government policies shape healthcare systems, health disparities, and social determinants of health. This program equips future professionals, leaders, and managers with the skills to interpret the industry's complex economic, political, and social dynamics, empowering you to make informed, data-driven policy decisions that enhance public health. Health Care Policy students benefit from diverse research opportunities, including positions as research assistants or independent projects, both within the Brooks School and throughout the university.
This major readies students for leadership roles in healthcare and policy analysis. Graduates frequently advance to medical school or pursue master's degrees in health administration or public health, while others launch careers in health policy and management sectors.
